Every year, the network of experts SatNEx IV funds a school where technical leaders from different fields of satellite communications provide high-quality lectures to students. Following the editions of 2016 and 2017, in 2018 SatNEx IV summer school will be organized by Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) from the University of Luxembourg. The event will be co-organized by SES.

The Satellite Communications Summer School is organised by the University of Malta in collaboration with Satellite Network of Experts (SatNEx IV) and will be held in University of Malta Valletta Campus, from 8 to 10 of May 2017.

The Satellite Communications Summer School 2017 addresses applications, methodological advances and basic theory of Satellite Communications. We plan to touch the current schemes that are implemented covering applications, the space and the ground segments, regulatory aspects, standardisation activities, as well as the current state-of-the-art and future tendencies. The School technical programme consists of 9 short courses as well as 3 keynotes from renowned international professors and industry experts. Most courses will include close-to-real implementation results.
